Golden Gate University School of Law (GGU Law) announced today that it has made new appointments to its nationally recognized experiential learning programs. Taking over as director of externships is Adjunct Professor Brittany Glidden. Nina Robertson begins as a clinical staff attorney at the Environmental Law and Justice Clinic for the 2015/2016 academic year, and Stephen Rosenbaum was named associate professor and clinical staff attorney for the Women’s Employment Rights Clinic.

The American Council on Education (ACE), announced that Wes R. Porter, Director, Litigation Center and Associate Professor of Law at Golden Gate University School of Law (GGU Law) has been named an ACE Fellow for academic year 2015-16.

The ACE Fellows Program, established in 1965, is designed to strengthen institutions and leadership in American higher education by identifying and preparing emerging leaders for senior positions in college and university administration. Forty-seven Fellows, nominated by the senior administration of their institutions, were selected this year following a rigorous application process.

San Francisco, CA (March 24, 2015) – Golden Gate University School of Law (GGU Law) will host an expert panel to explore the use of the criminal grand jury, the legal mechanism generating much controversy following the decision not to indict a Ferguson, MO police officer in November, 2014. This free lecture will briefly explain the history of the criminal grand jury, followed by a panel of legal powerhouses who will offer their in-depth analyses of the criminal grand jury’s use and its future.
