This Committee Report on Energy Development has been prepared for the California Energy Commission's Research, Development and Demonstration Committee in fulfillment of legislative requirements specified in Public Resources Code Section 25604. This statute calls for the Commission to publish and submit biennially to the Governor and Legislature a report on energy development trends in the state, including the status of new and existing energy technologies.

The Research, Development and Demonstration Committee held hearings on April 22 and 23, 1986, and received comments on the staff draft Energy Development Report. Comments and testimony presented at those hearings have been incorporated into …

We submit our final report on the Prevention of Drug and Alcohol Abuse with strong, mixed feelings. The alarming spread of drug and alcohol abuse among children and young people is a serious and pervasive problem. Hundreds of thousands of our children are endangered-their lives and their futures. Crime, violence and tragedy sear the lives of victims, families and friends. The other side of that coin-what to do about the problem-has baffled and eluded society. We see the sickness but not the cure.

Report To The Legislature: Home And Community-Based Long Term Care, California Department Of Aging

This is the second annual Long Term Care (LTC) report submitted by the Department of Aging, as required by the Supplemental Language to the Budget Act of 1985, on the incremental development of a home and community-based, long term care service delivery system. The report reflects the Department's comprehensive efforts this year towards building a responsive system of care for frail elderly and younger functionally impaired adults.

Organizationally, the report consolidates a number of separate reports to the Legislature so that a broad spectrum of issues related to system building efforts could be addressed in tandem.
