The Act concerns issuing subpoenas for taking depositions and for producing documents and tangible things at deposition. The Act provides that, upon agreement of the parties, an attorney may compel the presence of a witness at a deposition or command the production of documents and tangible things at the examination by issuing a subpoena under the attorney's own signature.
