Creative communities often rely on social norms to regulate the production of creative content. Yet while an emerging body of literature has focused on isolated accounts of social norms operating in discrete, small-scale creative industries, no research to date has explored the social norms that pervade the world’s largest content microcosm—the sprawling video game community.

Regulating Direct-To-Consumer Genetic Testing: Protecting The Consumer Without Quashing A Medical Revolution, Jennifer A. Gniady

This Note examines the existing gaps in regulating genetic tests that are sold directly to consumers and the arguments for and against greater regulation. It advocates adopting an approach that shores up existing regulation of the accuracy of genetic tests under the Food and Drug Administration and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment, while continuing to promote an open market for selling tests directly to consumers.
