Toni Morrison is a famous Afro-American woman novelist who wins a Nobel prize of Literature for the novel beloved. This study explores issues related to sexism and racism which are manifested in her life and work. The novel examined by this study are Morrison’s The Bluest Eye, The texts recreate an ideology of African-American womanhood which privileges self-definition. Morrison creates remarkable black women characters in the novel. The characters attempt to establish their own identity amidst the multilayered and interconnected oppressions of sexism and racism. This study focuses on tense variation as linguistic features of narrative performance using Schiffrin’s (1981) theory of tense variation supported by Labov’s (1972) and Ochs and Cap’s (2001) frameworks of narrative structure. It shows that historical present also performs evaluative function and appears in restricted clauses in progressive aspect indicating the overlap on time between two actions. Shifts into narrative past tense also perform an evaluative function and appears in contexts narrating unexpected event within the complication. Generic and nominalising actions are used to express negative evaluation of an opponent based on an earlier premise. These findings can bring new …

إتصف سكان العراق بتعدد سلالات أُصوله البشرية وأنه يعد متحفا إنثروبولوجيا وإثنولوجيا وإثنوغرافيا لتلك الجماعات ، وبخاصةً في شماله الجبلي الذي كان يعد معبراً لها. وقد ركزت هذه الدراسة على الأكراد كإنموذج له. أما إشكالية الدراسة فقد تمثلت بعدة تساؤلات: ماهي خصائص المجتمع الكردي؟ وما هو أصل الأكراد؟ ومن أين جاؤا وإلى أين إتجهوا ؟ وهل أنهم متجانسين جينيا؟ً وما هي مناطق توزعهم في شمال العراق الجبلي ؟ وطبقت الدراسة منهج الوصف الجغرافي والتحليل المكاني.. وحول أُصول الأكراد تختلف الآراء ، وتؤكد نظرية )مينورسكي( على أنهم أحفاد الميديين. ويقترب رأيه بما يراه )باسيلي نيكيتين( بقوله أن الأكراد ليسوا من السكان …

يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحديد علاقة تزحزح النطاقات المكانية للزراعة الديمية في العراق باستخدام بيانات الأمطار الفعلية. إذ تم إجراء تحليل إحصائي باستخدام بيانات الامطار ل) 15 ( محطة مُناخية، وزعت مكانيا كنقاط ضبط أرضية جوية لمجمل الامتداد المساحي للعراق، ولأجل رصد تغير كمياتها حدد البعد الزماني لمجمل هذه البيانات ضمن سلسلة للمدة) 1952 - 2018 (، وقسمت إلى مدتان لتحقيق شواهد المقارنة. في التحليل العملي حاذى البحث استخدام أسلوب المتوسطات، واستخدام تقنية نظم المعلومات الجغرافية GIS لرصد التغيرات المكانية في زحف النطاقات خلال الزمن، وقد اتضح أن هناك علاقة بين ما تطلبه الزراعة الديمية من كميات الامطار في العراق)وفق …
