The standard account of the relation between democracy and the rule of law focuses on law’s liberty-enhancing role in constraining official action. Globally, democracy is under threat with the prevalence of authoritarian regime all over the world and the role of opposition in a democracy is an under studied subject and has not received adequate importance by researchers all over the world.
