The John A. Sibley Lecture in Law delivered by Yale Law Professor Geoffrey Hazard at the University of Georgia School of Law on February 11, 1982, revised and expanded for publication. There have been many expositions on advocacy, including some delivered as Sibley Lectures. According to the transcript and recording, in addition to Former President Jimmy Carter speaking, then dean of the law school Dean Bearid also spoke and introduced Carter, along with questioners including David Buttorff, Ronald Cobb, Kim Alexander, and Mrs. Alford.Charles J. Driebe (student bar association president) also spoke.
