In their efforts to provide an atmosphere or hospitality to their casino customers, many operators will provide complimentary alcoholic beverage service. This practice is fraught with liability, particularly in venues outside of Nevada. Conscientious operators must take every precaution to mitigate the possibility of lawsuit.

Gambling on credit, considered a vice by some, is not judicially collectible based upon the Statute of Anne. This common law statute prevents the collection of gambling losses, unless expected by state statute. This article reviews and updates the findings of an unenforceability of gambling debt study conducted in 1989 just prior to the rapid expansion of gambling in the United States.

In this article I introduce legal scholars to concepts of fairness developed by microeconomic theorists. My starting point is a review of the books: Cooperative Microeconomics: A Game-Theoretic Introduction, by Herve Moulin, and Equity: In Theory and Practice, by H. Peyton Young. The books explain how to use cooperative game theory to study the fair allocation of benefits and costs. I illustrate the use of cooperative game theory by applying it to various problems of fair division in the law. Internet Gambling: Popular, Inexorable, And (Eventually) Legal, Tom Bell

This paper describes the powerful demand for Internet gambling, analyzes the forces arrayed against it, and argues against its prohibition. Attempts to outlaw Internet gambling will inevitably fail. The very architecture of the Internet will frustrate prohibitionists, while consumer demand for Internet gambling and the states' demand for tax revenue will create enormous political pressures for legalization.
