Amici, representing women from all walks of life, are compelled by experience and conviction to advocate strongly that this Court reverse the vulnerable position of women caused by the lack of information given to women contemplating abortion. Amici respectfully urged this Court to affirm the ruling of the Court below, supporting the efforts of the women citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to cause that government to exercise its police power to protect their health and safety by compelling the dissemination of the information necessary to make a fully informed decision.

Privacy And The Growing Plight Of The Homeless: Reconsidering The Values Underlying The Fourth Amendment, Mark A. Godsey

This Comment will discuss the issue that the Supreme Court of Connecticut declined to decide in Mooney: the Fourth Amendment's inadequate protection of homeless individuals' privacy in their living spaces or "homes." Part II will trace the evolution of Fourth Amendment doctrine from its beginnings in 1886 with Boyd v. United States, when privacy was intimately intertwined with private property, through the Warren Court's 1967 decisions in Katz v. United States and Warden, Maryland Penitentiary v. Hayden, which declared that "the principal object of the Fourth Amendment is the protection of privacy rather than property, and [we] …

We the People: Foundations is an ambitious book, the first of three volumes in which Professor Ackerman proposes to recast conventional understanding of and contemporary debate about American constitutional law. Unfortunately, the book's rhetoricinflated, self-important, and self-congratulatory-impedes the effort to come to terms with its argument. How, for example, does one respond to a book that opens by asking whether the reader will have "the strength" to accept its thesis?
