In August 1984, the Federal Communications Commission released the Report and Order in the Matter of the Revision of Programming and Commercialization Policies, Ascertainment Requirements, and Program Log Requirements for Commercial Television Stations, affecting the FCC regulations concerning programming policies, ascertainment requirements, program logging rules and commercialization policies.
