Speed-Aware-Based Reliable Probabilistic Route In Manet, Yaohua Chen, Lingxi Peng, Gu Peng Jun 2020

Speed-Aware-Based Reliable Probabilistic Route In Manet, Yaohua Chen, Lingxi Peng, Gu Peng

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: For broadcast problem of routing in MANET, speed-aware-based reliable probabilistic route discovery (SRPR) scheme was proposed. SRPR considered speed vector and all nodes were divided into reliable nodes and un-reliable nodes. A node among reliable nodes closest to destination was assigned a high probabilistic routing decision by greedy forwarding strategy. The reliability of routing was improved and the number of routing hop was reduced by SRPR scheme. Ad Hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing was adopted in the experiments. Simulation results show that the proposed routing protocol mitigates the broadcast storm problem and outperforms in term of number of …

Comparative Performance Simulation Of Dsdv Aodv And Dsr Manet Protocols In Ns2, Erion Cana Nov 2018

Comparative Performance Simulation Of Dsdv Aodv And Dsr Manet Protocols In Ns2, Erion Cana

International Journal of Business and Technology

Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) are self-configured and infrastructure less networks with autonomous mobile nodes. Due to the high flexibility, these kind of networks are heavily used in rescue operations, military missions etc. Many routing protocols for this kind of networks exist. This article presents a comparative and quantitative performance study of DSDV, AODV and DSR routing protocols using different simulation models in NS2. Performance metrics like PDR, E2E Delay and Throughput are analyzed under varying network, traffic and mobility parameters like number of nodes, traffic flows, mobility speed and pause time. Results show that AODV outperforms DSDV and DSR …

Modeling Security And Resource Allocation For Mobile Multi-Hop Wireless Neworks Using Game Theory, Laurent L. Y. Njilla Sep 2015

Modeling Security And Resource Allocation For Mobile Multi-Hop Wireless Neworks Using Game Theory, Laurent L. Y. Njilla

FIU Electronic Theses and Dissertations

This dissertation presents novel approaches to modeling and analyzing security and resource allocation in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). The research involves the design, implementation and simulation of different models resulting in resource sharing and security’s strengthening of the network among mobile devices. Because of the mobility, the network topology may change quickly and unpredictably over time. Moreover, data-information sent from a source to a designated destination node, which is not nearby, has to route its information with the need of intermediary mobile nodes. However, not all intermediary nodes in the network are willing to participate in data-packet transfer of …

Dream: A Theoretical Analysis, Xueying Qi

Computer Science Theses & Dissertations

A Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET, for short) is a collection of mobile nodes deployed in support of a short-lived special-purpose operation. Examples include search-and-rescue missions, law-enforcement, multimedia classrooms, and among many others. Unlike cellular or satellite networks, MANET do not rely on any form of pre-existing infrastructure. The mobility of nodes combined with the lack of infrastructure makes routing in MANET notoriously difficult. It was recently suggested that routing in MANET can use to advantage geographic information that the nodes may acquire either by endowing them with a GPS chip or simply by using known localization algorithms. Distance Routing Effect …
