Review Of Pollution Sources Of Sitnica River, Kosovo And Approaches For Improving The River Quality, Ermal Daka

The paper aims to provide an overview and in-depth analysis concerning the main sources of pollution of Sitnica River in the section from its springs to discharge into Ibër River. All the existing emitters discharging into the river and its tributaries are analyzed and ranked according to their impact on the river body in terms of pollution load. The main source of pollution appears to be the untreated domestic and industrial wastewater, as the pressure increases with the increasing of population living in the river basin.
