Lgbt Inclusivity In Transpersonal Psychology: A Case For Incorporating Lgbt Spiritual Experiences In Transpersonal Education, Daniel A. Seda, Phd

Journal of Conscious Evolution

Spirituality In Secular Schools: A Grounded School Counseling Intervention, Alexis P. Joseph

Culminating Experience Projects

The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, also known more commonly as separation of church and state, is a policy implemented at the federal and state level that schools must strictly adhere to. This means religion can neither be supported nor denied in educational institutions to receive federal and state funding. Due to the intertwining of religion and spirituality, this policy encourages spirituality to be invisible in schools in order to neither support nor reject any one religion. While this policy presents an opportunity for everyone to practice their religion of choice, lack of intentional spiritual development, such as expanding …

Intellectual Access And Spirituality: The Twin Urgencies Of Responsible American Education, Matthew Schmitz Apr 2021

Intellectual Access And Spirituality: The Twin Urgencies Of Responsible American Education, Matthew Schmitz

Educational Studies Honors Papers

America is increasingly, and perhaps overwhelmingly, becoming a society characterized by political divisiveness. At its most extreme form, Hannah Arendt argues such a division can make us vulnerable to a loneliness that destroys our confidence and leaves us dependent on ideologies. A renewed sense of spirituality and intellect are prime candidates for helping us develop a healthy relationship with ourselves that can help counteract this loneliness. Not only that, but fully accessing our intellectual and spiritual sides can give us the confidence to tackle democratic republican citizenship the way Thomas Jefferson envisioned it. Here, Jacques Rancière helps us to construct …

Findings provided insights not only into the meaning student mentees ascribed to mentoring but also into the perceptions of faculty mentors. Despite different …

Using classic grounded theory methodology, data was collected by interviewing eight leaders of the Adventist Church from the MENA region. The emergent theory of virtuous leadership revolves around the key role of spirituality (source) …

Religious literacy is explained as consisting of more than content, to include the complex relationship of content with both context and learner. It is in this nexus between content, context and learner that The T.I.T.U.S Project …
