Goats, Crayons And Bananas – Creative Ways To Fight Student Stress, Conny Liegl

Conny Liegl

More than 80% of US college students report feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, almost half of whom describe their academic experience as traumatic or very difficult to handle. To help students react to external and internal stressors, California Polytechnic State University’s Robert E. Kennedy Library initiated a program to support students during the most stressful times of the academic quarter. With …

Kim Myers

The Next Engine 3D Scanner would enhance and promote the use of the Makerbot Replicator 3D Printer that has recently been purchased for use by students and faculty who wish to explore this innovative technology and incorporate it into the curriculum. The scanner increases the 3D printer’s usefulness by allowing existing objects to be scanned and printed, rather than just designed from scratch. The MultiDrive Scanning Platform further automates and increases ease of use of the process. The upgraded software increases the speed and ease of the scanning process. With creator’s consent, object plans can then be added to the …

Using a critical sociocultural lens, this study assumes that the parents’ perceptions reflect the state of the program and that involving their feedback through this research will ultimately help to bolster the …

The Australian government Office for Learning and Teaching's (OLT) Resource Library is a key means of disseminating the outcomes from projects funded by itself and its predecessor organisations, the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) and the Carrick Institute. In order to apply the recommendations and resources emanating from these projects, it is vital that educators and other stakeholders are aware of, and effectively able to use, the Resource Library. Based on anecdotal evidence indicating a lack of awareness of the Resource Library and problems with consistently being able to search for and retrieve relevant resources from the database, the …
