The study aimed at identifying the tendencies of faculty teaching staff towards the role of higher education in encouraging scientific research for developing society. The researcher followed the analytical descriptive research methodology and a questionnaire that had two sections. The first section had 22 items about the role of higher education in encouraging scientific research for developing society. The second section had 23 items about the mechanism for encouraging scientific research for developing society.
