The University of San Diego University Relations records document the functions of the University Relations department and its offices. These functions include publication design, editing, and final products; planning for activities and events; surveys and research on community relations; and fundraising activities.

These records document the founding of the President's Club as a way to honor the University of San Diego's major benefactors. These records also include planning materials for the President's Club Dinner, the primary event held to recognize President's Club donors. Planning materials include correspondence, meeting materials, membership lists, invitations, and documentation of the food and entertainment planned for the night. Correspondence includes review of the previous years' dinner as well as planning discussion for the current year.

The Commission on the Bicentennial of the Constitution (the Commission), consisting of 23 members appointed by President Ronald Reagan, was charged with promoting and coordinating activities to commemorate the 200 year anniversary of the Constitution. This collection documents the work of the Commission, as well as activities planned by state and local organizations for the Bicentennial. These records consist of the meeting materials, planning documents, and publications generated by the Commission, as well as materials highlighting events that took place throughout the United States.
