Thisarticle is devoted to improving the system of teaching the subject "Biology and Ecology of MedicinePlants" on the basis discipline of new pedagogical technologies. The methods used in teaching the biological and ecological properties of plants, as well as the formation of specific skills and special competencies of students in the cultivation and creation of plantations of medicinal plants are analyzed. This article is devoted to the formation of competencies of students studying in the bachelor's degree 5411100 - Technology of growing and processing medicinal plants. Analys of educational programs of some professional diciplines (Introduction of medicinal plants, Technology of growing medicinal plants, Seed farming and seedling production of medicinal plants) showed that they do not pay proper attention to the formation of professional skills and competencies in future personnel.
