Many high school students struggle to stay engaged in their science class. As a result, student learning often suffers. The purpose of this study was to implement one additional strategy (Exit Tickets) to the teacher’s pedagogy in order to help better engage students and promote student learning. The teacher then evaluated the efficacy of the strategy by: comparing both participant behavioral engagement and assessment results prior to and during/after the implementation of the Exit Tickets. El tema del presente trabajo es el comportamiento y la disciplina escolar, ya que se identificó como problema durante las prácticas pedagógicas que los estudiantes no toman en serio al practicante, su figura no representa autoridad, entendida como la primacía e influencia de quien está al frente generando los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje, y ello propicia mayores niveles de indisciplina y mal comportamiento. Otro aspecto hallado durante la observación es que el docente en formación no sabe dar orden a estas problemáticas.
