A Comparison Of Two Methods Of Teaching Drawing To High-School Students, Olive Wittman

Masters Theses & Specialist Projects

In order to gain some evidence as to what difference the use of some particular instructional methods would make, an experiment was carried out. The experiment reported in this study is an example of a small investigation which an in-service art teacher can make, along with his regular teaching. It compared the effects of two instructional methods or to different teacher behaviors, on the students, in teaching drawing. Two classes of students were taught drawing by the same instructor who deliberately modified the degree of "directiveness" used in his teaching. An Investigation Of Public School Policies And Practices Regarding Married Or Pregnant High School Students In The State Of Washington, James L. Hoff

All Master's Theses

The Role Of The Science Supervisor As Perceived By Elementary And Secondary Science Teachers, Thomas Graika

Dissertations and Theses @ UNI

The problem that was considered in the study was whether the role of the science supervisor was perceived differently by secondary and elementary teachers of science.

A fifty-four item questionnaire was developed. The items on the questionnaire consisted of statements of tasks which a science supervisor could do, and the teachers were asked to respond on a scale of opinion if they considered this task a role of the science supervisor.

The sample represented five school systems in Iowa which employ a science supervisor. Questionnaires were sent to 156 secondary science teachers and 153 elementary teachers. Ninety-five of all the …
