The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator was used to determine the psychological types of 545 institutional advancement officers (alumni administrators, educational fund raisers, public information officers, and senior advancement professionals) who were registered for one district conference of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in 1988, 1989, or 1990. There were 295 respondents from the Northeast (Districts I/II), 155 from the Midwest (District VI), and 95 from the Northwest (District VIII);ENTJ (18.90%) was the most frequent type in the total sample. The major purpose of the study was to compare the effectiveness of the Strategic, Short-Term School Counseling (SSTSC) model and traditional counseling models, as used by trained counselors in the elementary school. Drawing upon the work of family therapists Watzlawick, Weakland, and Fisch (1974) and de Shazer (1985), the researcher specifically proposed the 4-step SSTSC model which utilizes elements of student developmental levels and maximizes inherent capabilities of the school system. The purpose was to examine undergraduates' perceptions of the nature, frequency, and possible justification of dishonest behaviors in relation to ethnicity (African-American, White American) and religious involvement (low, medium and high);Fifteen dishonest behaviors were presented. Those rated "definitely cheating" were: taking an exam for another student, copying from someone's exam, giving or receiving signals and/or answers during an exam, using unauthorized exam notes, turning in a commercially prepared paper or one written by another student;Behaviors considered "probably cheating" were: bringing information to an exam on a disc, arranging seating in advance to facilitate copying, turning in ...
