Cognitive Learning Styles And Their Relation To Air Traffic Control Screening And Training, Vincent P. Galotti

Master's Theses - Daytona Beach

The purpose of this study was to show a relationship between the type of cognitive learning style that an individual possesses and their subsequent success at simulated air traffic control practical exercises. Kolb's Learning Style Inventory was utilized to determine dominant learning styles of 30 college students enrolled in a laboratory-based air traffic control course. The instrument was administered during the first day of classes in the Fall of 1990. Students were placed in one of four groups for statistical purposes according to learning style. The scores of simulated micro-computer based air traffic control practical exercises given at semester ...

The Development Of A Mathematical Model For Technology Transfer Potential: A Manufacturing Industry Case , Laode M. Kamaluddin Jan 1991

The Development Of A Mathematical Model For Technology Transfer Potential: A Manufacturing Industry Case , Laode M. Kamaluddin

Retrospective Theses and Dissertations

A mathematical model was developed to measure the degree of technology in a given country or countries. The model is based on the regression analysis incorporating a taxonomic method to measure the difference of technological development within a group of countries. Simple linear regression analysis was employed to identify the independent variables showing the strongest relationship to the dependent variable. These variables were then used in controlled studies to investigate causal relationships, i.e., to identify the importance of the technological characteristics influencing the technological level. Second, the independent variables most influencing the dependent variable were selected using the all-regression ...

Long Glass Fiber Embedment In Polycarbonate Thermoplastic , Jeong Goo Lee

Retrospective Theses and Dissertations

The study was designed to investigate the effects of time and temperature on the mechanical property of hardness of a polycarbonate (thermoplastic) matrix, to achieve an 80% glass loading to a 20% wet-out for the polycarbonate pre-impregnated rod, to develop the prototype pultrusion equipment for polycarbonate pre-impregnated rod, and to develop the prototype pulforming equipment for polycarbonate fibersteel composite rod. Fibersteel rod is composed of seven pre-impregnated rods twisted into a spiral shape to act as a substitute for steel reinforcement rod in concrete;A polycarbonate matrix which had been solvent treated was tested according to Rockwell Hardness Test (ASTM ...
