Concern that the U.S. education system is unsuccessful in keeping the United States a competitive nation in global talent race has pushed policymakers to plan for improving science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education in the country. These are the disciplines that need to be fostered to supply the United States with talented graduates that can keep its economy competitive. Many major public and private organizations are investing significant resources to address this challenge.
