The purpose of this hermeneutic phenomenological research study was to understand district technology leaders’ receptivity to employing artificial co-teachers, based on their lived experiences with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Facing a problematic teacher shortage in special education, the Jade County School District was not readily employing available AI technologies such as IBM’s WATSON and MIT Media Lab’s TEGA, to aide in filling the instructional voids caused by special education teacher attrition. The purpose of this collective case study was to present an in-depth understanding of teachers' (N = 9) implementing and using online synchronous technology that provides real-time corrective feedback for students in a high school mathematics course at a Christian school in Taiwan. This qualitative research design examined the implementation of platforms that provided correctives within international high schools in Taiwan. The research-based data analysis methodologies involved within-case and across-case analysis. The purpose of this case study was to describe eighth-grade mathematics teachers' perception of teacher-efficacy and standards-based education within a 21st-century framework at a large suburban school district in North Carolina. Rotter's locus of control theory and Bandura's self-efficacy theory provide the guiding theoretical frameworks for this study. Both theories explain the personal characteristics of teacher qualities related to learning outcomes. The purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to explore the characteristics of effective leadership in technology integration for school leaders and staff members in three southeastern, U.S. elementary schools. The theoretical framework that guided this study was based on Spillane’s (2005) distributed leadership model and Kouzes and Posner’s (2012) model of transformational leadership. These theories provided an understanding of leadership practices and characteristics that fostered an environment, which successfully supported the process of technology integration. This paper analyzes a shifting landscape of intellectual freedom (IF) in and outside Florida for children, adolescents, teens and adults. National ideals stand in tension with local and state developments, as new threats are visible in historical, legal, and technological context. Examples include doctrinal shifts, legislative bills, electronic surveillance and recent attempts to censor books, classroom texts, and reading lists.

Makerspaces and related concepts and technologies are currently the subject of much discussion in the library community, particularly among public libraries. One prominent technology often featured in makerspaces is three-dimensional (3D) printing. In this article the author describes a 3D printing service launched at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Lovejoy Library; the justification for providing the service in an academic library, equipment selection, procedures and workflow, and evaluation of the success of the service to date.
