The purpose of the project was to install a Moodle installation on a server and deploy it to select teachers while developing a series of training modules to help assist teachers to utilize Moodle as an online supplement to their classroom teaching. The goal was to give the teachers involved an additional outlet for learning beyond the classroom setting. Specifically, this project centered on creating video tutorials and a demo class aimed to help teachers utilize this powerful medium. This study will show that by using technology to spark an interest in science curriculum and providing subsequent reading material related to that curriculum, educators will notice an improvement in their students' reading comprehension skills. Two classes from a high school in the Phoenix school district of comparable reading comprehension abilities were given two inquiry-based lesson plans to execute.

The purpose of this project was to develop a teacher resource in which content is both standards based and student demonstrated as "fun" in which to participate. The form of this resource is a website called Engaged. It will ultimately consist of several folioed and interconnected web pages. Academic content is to be all teacher supplied. At risk youth are in danger of being left behind, not only in schools, but by society as a whole. Through classroom teachers it has the potential to provide at-risk-youth a vital bridge across the digital divide.

This project is an interactive, multimedia, on-line learning system. It provides a friendly and simple interface to let kids easily learn their ABC's. Teachers and administrators can modify and view files and database information from a normal web browser to customize the student's learning experience. The web browser is written in Java Server Page (JSP), Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and Macromedia Flash.

The project developed a web site for a high school physics projected called "Electric Motorboat Drag Racing." The web site was produced following the ADDIE instructional design model (analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate) and was designed using key usability concepts identified through research: speed, content, appearance, and navigation (SCAN). The web site was developed and tested by asking experts for their feedback and by having participants use the web site. The web site was implemented in physics classrooms and data from 43 participants were evaluated. The data showed 97 percent of the participants' boats successfully completed the five-meter drag race. …

The literature review shows that gender inequality in computer use exists today. The inequality begins at birth with society giving boys and girl's roles that they have to play. One possible solution to gender inequality in computer use is to put a gender equity program in place at public schools. Such a program would have to be woven into teaching practices and school activities to strengthen girls' confidence and their ability to achieve in computers.
