The purpose of this project was for members of the United States Marine Corps to leverage the benefits of inquiry based learning in the form of WebQuests. By creating and implementing WebQuests to meet training needs at the small unit level, non commissioned officers can take advantage of the resources of the World Wide Web in a timely and effective manner. To this end, a course of computer-based training was designed, developed, tested, implemented, and evaluated using the ADDIE instructional design model.

The purpose of this project was to develop a teacher resource in which content is both standards based and student demonstrated as "fun" in which to participate. The form of this resource is a website called Engaged. It will ultimately consist of several folioed and interconnected web pages. Academic content is to be all teacher supplied. At risk youth are in danger of being left behind, not only in schools, but by society as a whole. Through classroom teachers it has the potential to provide at-risk-youth a vital bridge across the digital divide.

Trainers have long relied on visual content to make their training more effective. As the use of computer-based delivery has become an accepted method of distributing training and instructional materials, a system of standardizing the development and delivery of training workshops was worthy of considerable attention. The study concludes that while many of the older studies do not directly address the use of computer-based presentation applications, a development process can be achieved to streamline the creation of instructional content while maintaining consistency and quality in the content created.

There were three main goals of this study. First, utilize technology in a non-conventional way to enhance student's study process. Second, gauge if the students access such a tool when it is available to them. Third, assess the student's learning based on the study tools available. The project developed a web site for a high school physics projected called "Electric Motorboat Drag Racing." The web site was produced following the ADDIE instructional design model (analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate) and was designed using key usability concepts identified through research: speed, content, appearance, and navigation (SCAN). The web site was developed and tested by asking experts for their feedback and by having participants use the web site. The web site was implemented in physics classrooms and data from 43 participants were evaluated. The data showed 97 percent of the participants' boats successfully completed the five-meter drag race. …

The objective of the project was to develop an online educational technology tool based on research from multiple disciplines to improve effective communication between students, counselors, teachers, parents, and school staff. The website developed for the project aims to increase the involvement of parents in their child's academic progress. The project also includes discussions concerning the website's field testing at a middle school in Rosemead, California, its evaluation through participant surveys, and final revision. The field test participant instructions, survey questions, and a computer disc of the website accompanies the project.

This paper takes the position that creativity can be enhanced by multimedia. Computer software was designed and a study was conducted to measure that proposition. The author used participant self-analysis as a means to gather data on creativity enhancement holding to the presupposition that people can tell when they are creative and when their creativity is inhibited. The results of the study supported the belief that multimedia and the software designed for that purpose was able to enhance creativity.
