The purpose of this phenomenological study was to understand the lived experiences of small rural middle school teachers who are mandated by the Colorado READ Act to implement reading interventions for all students on READ plans. Minnesota's history contains a narrative of segregation that not only shaped the physical landscape of its cities but also entrenched disparities in education and fractured communities. The racial covenants that first emerged in 1910 built the bedrock of housing segregation that led to segregated neighborhoods. The consequences of this systemic segregation extended beyond residential boundaries and infiltrated the corridors of education, where the harsh realities of racial imbalance often betrayed the promise of equal opportunity. While many of Louis Moreau Gottschalk’s compositions for piano are highly regarded and figure prominently in recordings and recitals, pianists tend to overlook the composer’s etudes. The purpose of this study was to examine these neglected pieces and evaluate their contribution to the piano etude literature. A secondary focus was exploring the nature of Gottschalk’s lessons with Camille-Marie Stamaty in the French school of piano and comparing their traditional master-apprentice relationship with today’s teacher-student dynamic. Education must be cognizant of the Somali culture’s inclination to classify music as a morally charged entity. It must also be careful not to forget American cultural values that have defined the music classroom. The purpose of this research was to identify Somali cultural expressions that occur in the American elementary general music classroom and to identify underlying concepts that contribute to these cultural expressions. Additionally, the research sought to bring light to the relationship between the two, so that future music educators might be inspired to create assessments and activities that better suit the needs of all learners.

Research has demonstrated that future examination of individual’s personal contextual factors concerning interprofessional collaboration is yet to be determined. This quantitative causal-comparative study analyzed the team-based practices of nurses, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists. The primary examination of the study was to determine the differences among healthcare professionals’ interprofessional collaboration experiences by the Assessment Interprofessional Team Collaboration Scale (AITCS). The AITCS scoring system presents on a scale of 1-5 and measures three key collaborative practices: partnership, cooperation, and coordination.
