Learning space design has not changed – at least not in its goal. We aspire to provide facilities and resources that support instruction and research. We want to engage and motivate our students. But our students have changed. Their needs and expectations have changed. Our students – and faculty – work and think differently. We need to redefine what “learning spaces” are. We need to re-engineer our formal and informal learning spaces.
