An Individualized Adaptation To The Timely Transition Game To Reduce The Duration Of A Student's Hallway Transitions, Hannah C. Anselment, Agnieszka Kettlewell, Odessa Luna

Student inappropriate behavior can increase hallway transition duration and decrease academic time within the classroom. This study used a multiple-baseline design to examine whether an individualized Timely Transition Game (TTG) procedure would aid in the reduction of an eight-year-old’s disruptive hallway behavior and reduce the time spent transitioning between classes. Additionally, a delayed reinforcement procedure was implemented to decrease the latency to on-task behavior within the classroom. The individualized TTG procedure reduced the rate of inappropriate hallway behavior by 78% and decreased overall hallway transitions by 1.4 mins. 2020 Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic illuminated the digital divide revealing an expanse of inequity among students who had access to the internet, personal devices, and parental support during remote learning and those who did not. Framed with the theoretical lens of equity literacy, this poster details the results of a survey completed by 56 Minnesota district level technology directors. The survey asked how school districts were addressing the technology inequities experienced by students and families while in hybrid and distance learning models. Children in the United States have not made adequate gains on national assessments in mathematics (Strickland & Maccini, 2012). Based on the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP), 65% of 8th graders and 76% of 12th graders scored below proficiency level, along with over 90% of secondary students (Strickland & Maccini, 2012). This quantitative cross-sectional study examines the way in which leaders of two-year, public institutions perceive their gender identification influences the way they are able to demonstrate leadership traits. The study is founded in social identity theory, first introduced in 1979 by Tajfel, which helps to evaluate whether members of a group (leaders) assimilate to specific traits in order to be accepted and valued by their peers. LGBTQ+ undergraduates may use, perceive, and value their academic libraries differently than previous generations, particularly if their campus has an LGBT resource center.
