The concept of exploitation is thought to be central to Marx's Critique of capitalism. John Roemer, an analytical (then-) Marxist economist now at Yale, attacked this idea in a series of papers and books in the 1970s-1990s, arguing that Marxists should be concerned with inequality rather than exploitation -- with distribution rather than production, precisely the opposite of what Marx urged in The Critique of the Gotha Progam.

This curriculum booklet was developed for Milwaukee Public Schools by the Employment and Training Institute. Mao Vang, a UWM student, translated the guide into Hmong for use by families and students at Milwaukee Public Schools. The booklet was designed to help students and their parents use local labor market information and resources in their career planning. The economy is constantly changing because of new technology, shifting consumer demands, international developments and changing demographic trends.
