The study evaluated how social media platforms are used to spread information. It was led by four (4) objectives and related research questions. The research used a descriptive survey approach. Questionnaire was the instrument used to collect data for the study. A total of 32 library and library staff members made up the study's population, which includes professional librarians from 8 Engineering Colleges in Chennai. In order to get the answers to the study questions, data was gathered and evaluated utilizing frequency counts and mean scores.

Unwillingness and negative attitude of librarians was observed as a factor that hinders users from accessing information resources in most developing country libraries. This negative attitude could be associated with the demographic factors of the librarians hence this study investigated demographic factors as predictors of career commitment of librarians in South-South universities, Nigeria. This study examines librarian’s professional ethics and reference service delivery in Colleges of Education in Delta and Edo States in south-south, Nigeria. To guide the study, three research questions and one hypothesis have been formulated. The study adopted the descriptive survey design. This study investigated the combined correlational effects of motivation, emotional intelligence and human capital development on the job satisfaction of librarians in Nigerian public universities. A correlational survey research design was adopted. The study population consisted of 1,254 librarians in public university libraries in Nigeria, from which 923 were selected using simple random sampling. The research instrument used was a self-developed questionnaire. A response rate of 67.2% was achieved. Data were analysed using descriptive (percentage, mean, average mean and standard deviation) and inferential (ANOVA) statistics. This study investigated mentoring strategies in use for professional development of librarians in federal Universities in North-Central Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design was adopted. Population of the study was 107 professional librarians. Four research questions guided the study. Instrument for data collection were: structured questionnaire and an interview schedule. Data obtained were analyzed using mean ratings. Scholarly authors today are faced with unprecedented choices and, paradoxically, increasing barriers to publication. For example, the author-pays financial model of funding open access (also sometimes called Gold OA) is one of many such innovations that thwart authors who are not currently Federally funded or otherwise sponsored. As academic librarians, we need to be aware of the scholarly publishing infrastructure so we can advise authors how to make decisions about where to publish, what terms to agree to, and how to best leverage their written scholarly output.
