This information was created as an introduction to estuarine, or brackish water, aquarium keeping for the beginner using simple aquarium gear. Estuarine aquarium set-up and maintenance is easy as long as you have access to brackish water and you have time to devote to the tanks. The following information has been obtained from practical experience gained while maintaining estuarine aquariums using basic systems. You can add more sophisticated aquarium gear and keep animals that require more precise water quality, food and care as your wet thumb improves from experience and through information obtained from other sources.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the design and implementation of the International Baccalaureate Program for its fit as an advanced academic option. The first step involved determining the alignment of program and curricular goals with recommended practices for general and gifted education and, consequently, to examine the instructional practices and self-efficacy beliefs of International Baccalaureate teachers.;A review of literature revealed limited research on IB Program implementation and its grounding in recommended instructional practice. Using matched pairs of schools having a diagnosis of Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) and those not identified, and not having the potential of being identified as having the diagnosis, this study examined the relationship between factors assumed or determined to have an impact on a school's ability to carry out its mission as they related to the SBS diagnosis. Much can be gained by applying knowledge and insight gleaned from the field of neuropsychology to the field of education. Diagnosis and treatment of learning disabilities (LD) could be enhanced through an increased understanding of neurolinguistic functioning. The present study examined the effect of five instructional techniques aimed at stimulating the cognitive functioning of students with diagnosed learning disabilities. The defining characteristic of each of the five techniques is the use of interactive dialogue to stimulate oral language production leading to greater cognitive efficiency. The purpose of this research was to investigate the potential utilization of adventure education programs to provide an effective and innovative alternative for enhancing the college undergraduate experience. Initial research consisted of performing an indepth study of higher education's curriculum reform literature and studies and literature on adventure education programs. Specific components of the curriculum reform literature regarding character development were then correlated with attributes discovered in the adventure education literature. The interrelationship that developed provided a theoretical rationale from which to propose that adventure education programs could indeed address many of the objectives of the recommended curriculum.;The next step …
