As rigor continues to rise, so does the amount of time we are asking students to sit sedentary in their seats. It has become a common practice for educators to reduce or remove from their schedules activities that get their students up and moving in exchange for more academic minutes. Currently there is a dilemma in schools in finding the balance between instructional time and physical activity; even though it is becoming more well known that physical activity increases student attention and learning.
