This study’s goal is to provide a guide to anyone looking to educate the elderly on fraud. Advice is provided for those who want to help an elderly person in their life and for people who wish to create fraud educations programs of their own. My own experience creating and giving a fraud lecture at a senior living facility is used as evidence for my advice, as well as research into various elderly and fraud related topics.

Cryptocurrency is a relatively new investment method and currency. Daily, the news media reports about its instability and the perceptions surrounding it. To provide a measure of its perceived stability and trustworthiness, I have conducted a survey of undergraduate and graduate students in various accounting courses. The questions asked in this survey are used to gauge the overall perceptions and opinions of students concerning the stock market and cryptocurrency. The survey uses a five point opinion ranking system, ranging in opinions from 1-5 (strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree, and strongly agree). Students who graduate with an accounting degree often take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam to increase their earning potential and gain prestige within the accounting profession. The Regulation (REG) section of this exam exemplifies a student's knowledge in the United States’ tax filing system and makes up a quarter of the total exam. Accounting students often participate in Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) programs which may provide an avenue of preparation for the REG section of the CPA exam. This study examines whether the existence and type of an academic institution’s accreditation and Beta Alpha Psi honor society chapter affect the performance of candidates from those institutions on the Uniform CPA exam. There are three accreditations this study will examine: Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), and International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). For decades fraud has been an ever growing problem in our society, costing Americans hundreds of billions of dollars each year. Every investor and consumer pay for the effects and damages of fraud directly or indirectly. Investors need to proactively search for red flags before investing. This research project was conducted to look into what sort of frauds can be committed to steal unsuspecting investors’ cryptocurrencies. The inspiration for this research came in the form of the fact that millions of dollars are lost to cryptocurrency fraud each day, and many of these frauds are successful due to the public’s naivete towards the dangers of investing in cryptocurrencies. After researching many different cryptocurrency fraud cases, the frauds could be categorized into four major categories. The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between South Korean culture and the transition from Korean Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to Korean International Financial Reporting Standards. It is suspected that the hierarchical structure of Korean society and culture has allowed Korea to make one of the fastest accounting standards transitions in recent years.
