To date, there has been little research done on student dropout rates in modeling schools. This quantitative study utilizes applied research methods to analyze 138 female students in STAGE, a modeling school, where most students are between the ages of 11 and 18 years old. This study aims to examine why students drop out during their first year of study. The model utilized in this research integrates variables derived from Vincent Tito’s theory of departure, in addition to other variables not included in this theory like the parental support impact on extracurricular activities. AbstractThe banking industry is fraught with low employee retention threatening the bank’s ability to perform optimally. Bank managers who fail to implement strategies to retain skilled employees experience reduced productivity and increased turnover costs. Grounded in the job embeddedness theory, the purpose of this qualitative single-case was to explore strategies bank managers use to minimize employees' intent to leave during downtimes in the banking industry. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the problem of nurse attrition, which negatively impacted the lives of nurses, decreased patients’ perception of their healthcare, and increased the cost of healthcare. Facility administrators who lack strategies to decrease nurse turnover may lose their ability to provide quality nursing services in their facility and control their costs of care.
