The Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN) implemented secure exchange of health records through utilization of the Internet. NHIN has greatly assisted in achieving the goals of the HITECH Act by promoting the adoption of Meaningful Use. Epic introduced a Health Information Exchange (HIE) platform, Care Everywhere (CE), which has facilitated HIE availability. The purpose of this research was to determine the impact of NHIN and Epic Care’s CE on healthcare to determine whether their use in the ED has increased. In a collaborative and nationwide project, the authors examined the status and challenges of girls’ and women’s participation in sport in Canada through a comprehensive literature review, extensive secondary research, a representative survey with Canadian females, and a survey and consultations with leading female sport experts. This multi-level analysis led to the development of a framework for advancing girls’ and women’s participation in sport to guide stakeholders’ actions at the system, organization, and individual levels to improve the state of girls’ and women’s lifelong engagement in sport. Social media marketing influences consumer trust in businesses, and trust accounts for about 37% of consumer purchasing decisions. The purpose of this multiple case study research was to identify the barriers to social media marketing that owners of small retail clothing businesses must overcome to be competitive. The conceptual framework was the technology acceptance model. Collected data consisted of company documents and semistructured interviews with 3 small retail clothing business owners in Chicago, Illinois, who had experience with social media marketing.
