Importance Of Adequate Monetary Policy In Time Dynamic Of Being A New Member Of European Union - Case Of Republic Of Serbia, Zenaida Šabotić
UBT International Conference
In order to became a new European Union (EU) member, many countries have subordinated own monetary policy and accepted main objectives of EU monetary policy. Although it is quite clear that the defined goals and instruments of EU monetary policy can not equally match to the national objectives of the member countries, there is a common view that unique monetary policy has more advantages than disadvantages. For those countries that are in negotiation process is very important the time period of harmonization of monetary policy and realization of the set goals. That dynamic is more important than formal time of …

Russia's Northern Rook: Nord Stream 2 On The European Energy Chessboard, David E. Wilson
Independent Study Project (ISP) Collection
The Nord Stream 2 pipeline proposes to connect Germany to the world’s largest natural gas reserves in Russia, allowing the state-owned Russian energy behemoth Gazprom to double its export capacity through the ‘Northern Corridor’ transit route to Europe. This project has been the subject of sharp disapproval from Central and Eastern European countries, as well as the United States, which fear the prospect of increasing dependence on gas imports from a Russia perceived as politically aggressive and unreliable. This paper will identify the geopolitical and geoeconomic implications involved in the construction of Nord Stream 2 by adopting a geostrategic worldview …

The Arizona Market: A Marketing Systems Perspective On Pre- And Post-War Developments In Bosnia, With Implications For Sustainable Peace And Prosperity, Katherine Sredl
School of Business: Faculty Publications and Other Works
Through this longitudinal study of a historically significant, complex, conflicted and evolving macromarketing space, Bosnia’s Arizona Market, the authors reveal that marketing systems are not merely random artifacts of human behavior; rather, they are adaptive, purposeful, can be pernicious and/or provisioning, and ultimately—if they are to reflect our humanity—must be well integrated into other prosocial systems to affect the best possible outcomes for all stakeholders. By engaging with a marketing system in a post-conflict, divided society, we are better able to understand the genesis and evolution of markets and marketing systems; the relationships among war economy, peace accords, and the …
Corporate Codes As Private Co-Regulatory Instruments In Corporate Governance And Responsibility And Their Enforcement, Jan Eijsbouts
Corporate Codes As Private Co-Regulatory Instruments In Corporate Governance And Responsibility And Their Enforcement, Jan Eijsbouts
Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) codes have gained a prominent role as tools in self-regulation for companies to establish their basic values, norms, and rules that condition the conduct of directors, managers, employees, and-increasingly-of suppliers. This development must be seen in the light of two important paradigmatic changes in the concepts both of CSR and corporate governance. The former is no longer purely voluntary and the latter has become inclusive of CSR, each with far-reaching consequences for the raison d'itre and the place and function of the codes in the smart regulatory mix governing corporations. While the codes were based originally …
