In the 21st century, our ability to quickly and decisively deliver combat forces and equipment is of the utmost importance in achieving our national security objectives. The swiftness and flexibility of the US Air Force’s mobility airlift fleet is the key to executing a rapid global mobility strategy. The operational effectiveness and efficiency of military air transportation relies on the expertise and intuition of Air Mobility Command’s (AMC) mobility planners. Working in coordination with the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and geographic combatant commands (GCC), AMC is responsible for the tasking and tracking of almost 900 daily mobility sorties worldwide. …

The authors describe how, framed within an initiative to equip faith leaders and congregations around matters of stewardship, Luther Seminary’s Economic Conditions Facing Future Ministers (ECFFM) program has emerged as part of the work of the seminary’s Center for Stewardship Leaders. The ECFFM initiative focused on conducting new research and strengthening current campus programs in order to decrease student debt through building financial literacy, stewardship training, and financial support.

The emphasis on tourism in the economy of South Dakota provides extensive opportunities in the field of Hospitality and Tourism for employment in the region. Specific employment opportunities exist in the hotel, food and beverage, and travel accommodation industries. Local job postings indicate opportunities for Lodging Managers, Meeting, Convention, and Event Planners, Food Service Managers, and Administrative Service Managers. On a national level, these positions all show expected growth of between 2-33% over the next seven years (Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Handbook, 2015).
