The Kisco Foundation commissioned researchers at the Center for Education Policy and Law and the Caster Center for Nonprofit and Philanthropic Research at the University of San Diego to work with REBOOT, a nonprofit based in Southern California, to conduct an evaluation of its program, REBOOT WorkshopsTM (REBOOT). REBOOT is a three-week-long program designed to assist members of the military in making the social and career transition from military service to civilian life by “re-booting” their skills, attitudes, and behaviors. Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) is a model of care designed to provide 'low risk' pregnant women with continuous care by one midwife throughout pregnancy, labour and birth and the early postnatal period. A one-year trial of this model concluded in June 2005 at Wollongong Hospital.

Evaluation of the MGP program focused on clinical outcomes and consumer acceptance. Data sources included peer reviews of selected cases and satisfaction surveys of the women who took part. During the antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum periods, midwives noted any deviations from normal and followed specified criteria for consultation and referral to other health professionals. The purpose of this study was to explore human resource (HR) managers' perceptions of training practices (i.e., needs assessment, trainee preparation, training program review, accountability, management support, knowledge transfer, and performance improvement) in Saudi private sector organizations. The research questions were: (1) How do HR managers perceive the importance and or occurrence of training needs assessment, trainee preparation, training program review, accountability and management support? The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficiency of business evaluation methods in the Australian energy industry during the periods from 1989 to 2007. The six commonly used business evaluation methods (CAPM, WACC, EVA, P/E ratio, DCF and MetaCapitalism) were selected and compared with the share price in the whole market, listed market and delisted market, to explore which valuation methods were better for evaluating business performance in the Australian energy sector over the long-term. The overall aim of the evaluation was to assess holistically the impact of the Bourke Alcohol Action Plan on community safety, health and wellbeing. More specific objectives included monitoring and reviewing the impact of the Plan's initiative to restrict takeaway alcohol sales, and assessing the impact of the Plan on road safety. A secondary objective was to explore whether impacts had extended to Aboriginal residents as well as non-Aboriginal residents of Bourke.

Focusing on organizational legitimacy is an essential element to the survival of an organization. Suchman (1995) suggests that "Legitimacy is a generalized perception or assumption that the actions of an entity are desirable, proper, or appropriate within some socially constructed system of norms, values, beliefs, and definitions" (p. 574). Legitimacy must first be gained and then maintained. If lost, legitimacy must be regained or the organization is unlikely to survive.
