The purpose of this study is to identify the attitudes of the National Food Brokers Association Members in the East North Central states about women working in the food brokerage positions of retail sales representative, sales supervisor, and sales manager. The primary goal of vocational education is to prepare the student to successfully enter the world of work. While the present educational structure seems to work well for most Anglo-American students, there is evidence that the system is not effective with minority students. For example , in the case of Navajo students in government-sponsored technical schools, the dropout rate (60 percent) suggests that for Native American students there are serious problems in the educational process which need to be investigated and understood.

The distribution of dietary labor time was studied in two phases at a university hospital. The objectives in Phase 1 were: (1) to determine by work sampling, labor time and cost by position in twenty work functions of a hospital food service system and (2) to compare data from this study with data from a previous labor time study in the same hospital, utilizing the same Gred sampling methodology. This study was conducted to determine if employers were inclined to discriminate between two-year and four-year educated accountants in making hiring and promotional decisions. In addition, accounting graduates of two-year and four-year institutions were studied to see if there were differences between these two groups in regard to educational programs taken, perceptions of the benefit received from the courses taken, salaries received, and views concerning employer hiring and promotional practices.

This study included three different groups consisting of 39 employers in the private business sector as well as 43 two-year accounting associate degree graduates and 43 bachelor accounting degree graduates. …

More and more recognition is being given to the results of these studies, especially the possible adverse effects on those working the night shift or a shift they are unable to adapt to adequately. The problem of this study was to determine the effects of progressive practice skill building procedures and paced practice skill building procedures upon the straight-copy typewriting achievement of students enrolled in first-term collegiate typewriting. The procedures were compared on the bases of the dependent variables: 1) straight-copy stroking speed, and 2) straight-copy accuracy. The following null hypotheses were tested:

1. There will be no significant differences in the straight-copy stroking speeds achieved by students participating in progressive practice skill building procedures and students participating in paced practice skill building procedures.

The purpose of this study was two-fold. The first was to investigate the gerontological educational background of persons presently working in the field of aging. The second purpose was to determine if there was a need for and interest in further training, and if so what particular topics the respondents would find most critical to their interests or beneficial to their work. The subjects were fifty-four persons involved in serving the over sixty-five population in a ten county area within the East Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging, Area Five.
