Analogie i metafory stanowią ważne, jakkolwiek mało doceniane, źródło poszukiwania idei. Zwykle wykorzystanie metafor i analogii następuje spontanicznie, w trakcie komunikacji międzyludzkiej, podczas której przy użyciu metafor bądź analogii opisujemy zdarzenia, które miały miejsce, odwołując się do podobieństwa lub przenośni. Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest myślenie przez analogie oraz metaforyzowanie (myślenie metaforyczne), rozumiane jako zdolności twórczego myślenia, które można wykorzystać w praktyce biznesowej i rozwijać na drodze mniej lub bardziej systematycznego ćwiczenia.

This article provides a chronological account of the evolution of the concept of product warranty and its development over the four millennia to its present state at the dawn of twenty-first century A.D. This study examines how the concept of product warranty originated and illustrates how this concept was an integral element of accepted business practices in commerce and trade over the ages in almost all civilizations spanning the entire globe. Urban India is witnessing a rapid revolution in its commercial retail spaces. These transforming commercial landscapes constitute a rich arena for qualitative research using, among others, observational methods. In this paper, we present observations about the changing urban retail scene of India. We provide emergent themes that we have already found in observations so far, and also reflect on the challenges of carrying out such observations in the Indian context.

This article discusses the evolving conception of responsibility within value chains from the perspective of stakeholder research. The recent managerial challenges to claims of arm's length transaction are examined following a brief discussion of stakeholder theory and a review of the related literature on supply chain ethics. Increased globalization of business is another factor that has raised attention to value chain responsibility. The ethical challenges for commodity value chains are magnified for purveyors of highly branded products.
