The scheduling of regulations regarding the transformation of the legal status of intermediaries is a significant drive for the articulation of the financial system and competition in banking markets; the article examines the opportunities and major problems raised by the transformation processes and by the acquisition of the banking status by non-banks intermediaries (particularly investment firms and financial corporations specialized in leasing and factoring).
