The purposes of the study were (1) to determine the relative merits of selected classroom practices in the teaching of bookkeeping as evaluated by teachers in terms of experience if they had used the practice, or in terms of opinion if they had not used the practice; and (2) to obtain from teachers their reasons for believing a practice is good or not good.

This study is concerned with the effect of the "tendency to report injuries" on minor accident statistics. Assuming that individuals with the largest number of voluntary visits for nonoccupational illnesses to the Dispensary would be those who most readily report to the Dispensary in the event of minor injuries, the individuals may be defined as those who have a tendency to report injuries. The hypothesis to be tested in this thesis is: The tendency to report injuries has no significant effect on the systematic variance in reported injuries between two successive one-year exposure intervals.

In 1956 organized local passenger transportation agencies in the United States carried about thirty million passenger every day, 912 million every month, totaling 10.94 billion for the year. These agencies included local motor bus lines, electric street railways, elevated and subway lines, interurban electric railways, and trolley coach lines. They did not include taxicabs, suburban railroads, sightseeing buses, and school buses.

Today's transit industry represents a gross investment of over $35 billion. The American Transit Association listed 1,326 companies (representing more than 85 per cent of the transit industry) that own more than 70,000 passenger vehicles.
