The implementation of NCAA Bylaw 2.14 otherwise known as the “20 hour rule” in 1991 was supposed to have universities’ student-athletes to have more time to focus on their academic pursuits. However, recent studies have shown that this Bylaw has had no significant impact in studies that were conducted on Division I student-athletes. This study examined the time conflicts and obligations that are faced by student-athletes from a Division III perspective.
