The “Student Internship Project in Science and Technology-based Microenterprises” is a curriculum enhancement intervention executed through “hands-on” internship across Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resource (AFNR) courses in three State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Region IX, Philippines. With the goal of reversing the declining enrolment trend, its four components (Coconut Sugar, Seaweeds, Tissue Culture and Rubber Seedlings) operate on experiential and pragmatic approach to enhancing the competence and institutional employability of students through science and technology utilization, acquisition of entrepreneurial skills and microenterprise development focusing on Zamboanga Peninsula’s major dollar-earning export commodities. This research based on the role of agriculture in the economic growth of Pakistan. Secondary data has been collected from the year 1980-2010 from the government authentic websites. For this purpose simple regression applied to identify the significance relationship of agricultural sub-sectors with GDP. Results suggested that there is the significance role of agriculture sub-sectors towards the economic growth only forestry showed insignificant relationship with GDP. Another objective is based on to know the contribution of each sub-sector over the aggregate agriculture amount. The floodplain wetlands (beels), extending over one lakh hectare, constitute the most important fishery resource of the Assam. The average productivity of Assam beels is 150-200 kg./ha/year. Many factors can be attributed for this situation, but inadequate auto stocking might be one of the basic reasons. To tide over this situation, rearing of seed in pens could be a viable alternative. Stock enhancement through pen culture was demonstrated by CIFRI at Haribhanga beel with three IMC. The fisher has adopted with modification using three Indian major carp and three exotic carp. Sundarbans, the largest delta on the planet earth is famous for its marine and estuarine fish resources. A large population is dependent on fishery activity and capture fisheries is treated as the backbone of Sundarban economy.
