Research Collection School Of Accountancy
Companies are embracing digital transformation to enhance their competitiveness. Existing studies show that it is important for companies to manage the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) aspects of their digital transformation initiatives. While companies are increasingly understanding the importance of the role of GRC in digital transformation, it is unclear from the investors’ views. Thus, this study examines whether investors are placing importance on the role of GRC in digital transformation for their investment decisions. The results show that investors care about the GRC aspects of digital transformation initiatives undertaken by companies. The findings of this study are consistent with …

A Digital Leadership Lens For A Physical World: Digital Transformation Levers Of Control For Incumbent Companies, Michael J. Seals

A new wave of advanced technologies is disrupting companies of all types and transforming business models within every industry. Long-standing industrial firms that rose to prominence in a pre-digital economy are particularly vulnerable. Prevailing views suggest these companies (hereafter referred to as incumbents) must reimagine their value propositions and transform themselves by leveraging today’s advanced technologies. The opportunities provided by these advanced technologies will significantly affect incumbents whether they participate or not. The pursuit of these opportunities, commonly referred to as digital transformation (DX), is the focus of our research.

A Case Study Of The Efficacy Of Model-Based Requests For Information, Kyle J. Arruda
A Case Study Of The Efficacy Of Model-Based Requests For Information, Kyle J. Arruda
Theses and Dissertations
The Department of Defense (DoD) has encouraged the transition to digital engineering, yet there are limited guides for how to transition and there is limited data to show where an organization like a program office can reap the most benefit from the transition. To identify areas where potential benefits may be realized, this thesis compares two Requests for Information (RFIs), one document-based and one model-based, from generation to response. A survey was developed and administered to 7 members of a single program office to grade the RFI responses. The survey was based on the 43 benefit categories identified in the …

Organizational Digital Agility: Strategic Imperative For Digital Transformation And Firm Performance, John Willard Hill
Organizational Digital Agility: Strategic Imperative For Digital Transformation And Firm Performance, John Willard Hill
Theses and Dissertations
A firm’s ability to achieve a competitive advantage through the creation of digital capabilities is affected by a firm’s organizational digital agility (ODA). At their heart, both the resource-based view and dynamic capabilities provide vehicles for describing the ‘what’ regarding the role of resources in executing firm strategy. However, these two theoretical foundations do not address the ‘how’ and the manager's role in deploying those resources to achieve a competitive advantage. Resource orchestration theory begins to address this gap and advocates for the manager’s role in deploying these resources. Yet, despite this theoretical foundation, little research has been conducted on …

Assessing Performance Impact Of Digital Transformation For Instructors In The Covid-19 Era, Shailja Tripathi Dr., Shubhangi Urkude Dr.
Journal of International Technology and Information Management
Digital transformation has evolved as the main issue for higher education institutions (HEIs) across the globe due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance impacts of digital transformation for instructors of HEIs during the pandemic. The technology-to-performance chain (TPC) model pursues to predict the influence of an information system on the performance of an individual user. Hence, TPC model is used to evaluate the performance of instructors due to digital transformation in the institutions during the Covid-19 pandemic. The data is collected from instructors of higher educational institutions. Recently, partial least squares path …
