In an effort to promote engagement with organizations in the not-for-profit sector, Molloy College’s graduate business program includes an experiential learning component. Prospective graduates of the MBA program are required to complete a rigorous Capstone course, through which students provide consulting services to a not-for-profit organization. Tasked with finding solutions to real problems, the students must apply their cross-disciplinary knowledge and skills to develop a comprehensive proposal for their clients. In one short seven-week semester, class members must form teams with fellow students, meet their clients, assess the problems presented and develop comprehensive proposals. Molloy’s fourteen-week capstone program involves Molloy College students who learn professional skills and much more during the capstone experience. The students work with ‘live’ non-profits located on Long Island and their efforts serve these organizations to jointly move their missions forward toward social good. This semester’s senior project was focused on the developmentally and physically disabled community as well as promoted admirable social responsibility via the collaboration of the assigned organization and the student consulting teams. In alignment with Molloy College’s commitment to civic engagement, the MBA program requires prospective graduates to complete its Capstone course, which entails providing consulting services to a not-for-profit organization. The course requires students to apply their cross-disciplinary knowledge and skills to solve real problems for their clients. There are many individuals with developmental disabilities who have the capability to make independent purchases and who frequent particular brands. Studies on buying trends of individuals with physical disabilities is available; however, there is a need for academic study to explore how individuals with developmental disabilities connect to various brands via brand personality.

The proposed embryo case study will investigate how individuals with developmental disabilities associate with particular brands utilizing the Brand Personality scale (Aaker, 1997) to predict brand outcome (e.g. brand connection, purchase likelihood, and brand choice) as well as promote inclusive marketing methods for the above-mentioned purpose.
