This paper discusses areas for future research opportunities by addressing accounting issues faced by management accountants practicing in hospitality organizations. Specifically, the article focuses on the use of the uniform system of accounts by operating properties, the usefulness of allocating support costs to operated departments, extending our understanding of operating costs and performance measurement systems and the certification of practicing accountants.

Quality systems audit is classified as Value for Money audit. Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (FKE) Skudai subscribed to ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System (QMS) since 2004. Effective internal audit is required to be carried out at planned intervals to determine whether the teaching-learning process is effectively implemented and maintained. This paper describes the use of Plan-Execute-Report-Monitor (PERM) model to ensure the effectiveness of such audits.
