As a faculty we realized that we were missing a key opportunity to "interact" with prospective students and their families while they were on tours with Admissions. Those tours always take families to the fourth floor via elevator, so we maximized our visibility to those families by placing our information directly in front of them. We update the poster regularly as liaison areas change. Approximate finished size is 18*24, file created using PowerPoint.

This program and presentation addresses the use of factor analysis in program evaluation. Specific focus will highlight the development and selection of marker items. The goal is to label and interpret factors according to targeted questions of interest. Therefore, results are not only descriptive, but predictive - with practical application to student retention and satisfaction. Process is useful for benchmarking best practices; measuring student satisfaction and learning; tracking student participation; evaluating program results; determining future program or service needs; and, assessing effectiveness of delivered programs.

In today’s global market place employers are seeking high level skills of communication, networking and entrepreneurship in their potential employees. Increasingly, these skills extend to online methods of engagement through social media. The idea of the ‘digital native’ suggests that students are able to use such tools effectively, having grown up with these technologies, but more recent research suggests otherwise.
