In 1972, Conklin Shows was investigating the development of a major theme amusement park in Ontario, Canada. Four tentative sites were being considered: near Brantford, Galt, Milton, and at the Toronto Zoo. The envisioned concept of the park was generally similar in type and scope of development to the Six Flags parks and Cedar Point--that is, a family-oriented attraction featuring permanent rides and other entertainment facilities built around a unifying theme of the history, culture, and love of Ontario province.
