This paper sets out to study recent developments in the relatively new area in management theory - Age Management. First the general labor and financial market conditions are specified which have led to the growing need of an age-oriented strategy for employment in the company. Next the concept of Age Management is defined, both from the macro, enterprise-level and individual perspectives. The next section studies the benefits derived from implementing Age Management for the company and its employees, followed by a section on specific Age Management tools and measures. The purpose of this article is to educate schools and candidates about opportunities available for employment within the field of entrepreneurship in higher education. Data is provided from June, 1989 through June, 2010 on advertised candidates and positions throughout the world. The article examines the trends over the past 21 years with a primary focus on how the current economic crisis is affecting the job environment. The findings of this study show that the field has matured in regards to tenure track and non tenure track positions. Implications and recommended strategies are discussed for both candidates and school administrators.

Using ratings of hypothetical job applicants with and without a disability obtained from both fulltime workers (n = 88) and undergraduates (n = 98), we examined the effects of disability (paraplegia, epilepsy, clinical depression, or non-disabled), gender, and nature of the job (supervisory or non-supervisory) on five job-relevant dependent measures. Contrary to our hypothesis, applicants with a disability were rated significantly higher in activity and potency than applicants without a disability. Further, also contrary to our predictions, gender and job type did not moderate the relationship between disability and applicant ratings. Post-hoc analyses revealed a significant gender by job type …
